With Attendance-Payroll integration, you can set up payroll addition policies such as Overtime and Days in Lieu, and also better manage attendance violations like Absence, Late Arrivals and Early Departures, by setting up a payroll deduction policy which will automatically create such adjustments for your approval.
The tab H. is divided in sections to set up three policies wherein you can input multipliers and formulas to define these policies. The details entered here will help in understanding whether line manager/s will have the authority to approve overtime, days-in-lieu and deductions.
Steps to set up Overtime policy:
Can Line Manager assign compensation (decide to pay employees or deduct employees in cash or time off?) - If you want only the Super Admin to have the final authority on this and not the line manager/s, you can select the option NO.
Can employees request for overtime? - If you want the employee to have an option to request for the overtime directly from their Bayzat app, you can select the required option from the dropdown.
Policy Name - You can mention the desired overtime policy name.
Minimum threshold to request extra hours - You can mention the minimum no. of extra minutes/hours an employee has to work for in order to be able to apply for overtime.
Employees assigned to this policy - You can assign this policy to all employees or selective employees from the drop drown.
Rate type - You can choose from two different rate types i.e. Multiple rate and Single rate.
1. Multiple Rate: Selecting 'Multiple Rate' type allows you to fill in formula's for weekdays, weekends and public holidays. For eg. different multiplier rates as can be seen highlighted below.
2. Single Rate: Selecting 'Single Rate' type allows you to set up a common multiplier for weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
Steps to set up Days in Lieu policy:
Policy Name - You can mention the desired Days in Lieu policy name.
How many extra hours worked will become 1 day in lieu? - Here, you can fill in the number of extra hours an employee has to put in to be eligible for 1 day in lieu.
Employees assigned to this policy - You can assign this policy to all employees or selective employees from the drop drown.
Steps to set up Deduction policy:
Consider late for Deductions (by how many minutes/hours) - mention the number of minutes that an employee is allowed to come in late.
For example - if your shift time is 09:00 AM, and you allow employees a grace period of 30 minutes to check in, then mention 30 minutes here, so that any employee checking in at 09:30 AM or later, will be marked as late.
Consider Absent if an employee is late by how many minutes/hours - mention the maximum number of minutes that an employee is allowed to come in late for the day, and any later than this, they will be considered Absent.
For example - if your shift time is 09:00 AM, and the maximum late allowance you allow your employees is 2 hours, then mention 120 minutes here, so that any employee checking in at 11:00 AM or later, will be marked as Absent for the day.
Consider early leaving if an employee leaves early by how many minutes/hours - mention the number of minutes that an employee is allowed to check out early for the day.
For example - if your shift time ends at 06:00 PM, and you allow employees to check out a maximum of 15 minutes early, then mention 15 minutes here, so that any employee checking out at 05:45 PM or earlier, will be marked as early departure for the day.
Set the multiplier for each of these deductions which you can select from the options in the dropdown.
When do you deduct the salary? - Choose if you want to configure and activate all the deduction policies (Late Arrival, Early Departure and Absent).
Employees assigned to this policy - You can assign this policy to all employees or selective employees from the drop drown.
