1. How can I submit a request to remove an employee from our health insurance policy?

2. What documents are required to remove an employee from our health insurance policy?

If your insurer provided medical insurance cards, you need to provide a copy of the member cut card and the visa cancellation copy. If your policy is cardless, only a copy of the visa cancellation is required.

3. How can I get a Certificate of Continuity (COC)?

Your insurer can issue a Certificate of Continuity once an employee is deleted from the policy. To apply for a COC, please email us at endorsements@bayzat.com, mentioning your Company Name and Employee Name in the email subject line.

4. We want to remove an employee from our insurance but the cut card is missing?

If you do not have the cut card copy, then the insurer would require a liability letter.

5. We need to remove an employee from our insurance but the visa cancellation copy is not available, how can I proceed?

If you do not have a copy of the visa cancellation, you can provide a copy of the passport page showing the exit stamp, which proves that the employee has left the country.

6. What is a liability letter?

A liability letter is a letter from the employer stating that the employee is no longer working with the company. This letter is requested by the insurer to delete an employee when the cut insurance card cannot be provided.

7. Can we delete the company owner from the policy?

Yes, you can delete the company owner from the policy.

8. How can we delete an employee who has absconded?

An absconding employee is a person who leaves a company without notice/official resignation.

To delete an absconding employee, you will need to provide the insurer a letter on the company letterhead explaining that the member has absconded without resigning and the date of absconding.

9. What is the deletion refund policy?

The deletion refund amount is based on a pro-rata calculation and subject to your policy terms and conditions.

To confirm the exact calculation for your policy, email us at endorsements@bayzat.com with the employee name and company name, and we send you the specific calculation applying to the employee's insurance policy.

10. Will I get a refund for a deletion if the employee has filed claims during the policy?

The eligibility and calculation of the deletion refund for members who claimed depends on the terms and conditions of the policy.

11. Will I get a refund if no cut card was shared when removing the employee from our insurance?

The eligibility for a refund without cut card copy depends on the terms and conditions of the policy.

12. When will the deletion credit note be processed?

The credit note will be processed based on the billing frequency of your policy.

13. When and how will the deletion credit note amount be paid?

If your policy has a credit balance due to deletions, the insurer will settle it upon expiry. The method of payment (cheque or wire transfer) will be the one that you have selected initially when placing your policy.

14. Will a coverage grace period apply after an employee is removed from the policy?

It depends on the insurer, some insurers add 30 days from the visa cancellation date while others delete the member on the requested date.

Note that the cover during the grace period might be restricted to emergencies only depending on the insurer.

15. Can we backdate the deletion of an employee from our policy?

It depends on the insurer. You can find out the back dating deletion rules in your insurer Endorsement Guide.

16. Why is my deletion taking so long?

You can track the status of your removal request on Bayzat under the Endorsements tab as shown below.

17. Can we offset this deletion amount from the member addition we just made?

Yes, most insurers automatically set off the deletion amount with additions made, but it also depends on the insurer.

18. Can we delete the principal employee but not their dependents?

This is not possible, as per the DHA regulations, the dependents get automatically deleted once the principal gets deleted from the policy.

19. What documents are required to delete an employee who has deceased?

The Insurer requires a copy of the cut card and a death certificate of the employee.

20. I'm still employed but need to be removed from the company insurance policy as I am getting a better individual plan, what documents are required?

The insurer requires the cut card copy and a card copy or Certificate of Insurance of the new insurer.

21. What date will be the deletion effective?
