All Super admins and People Managers can now renew an employee's Iqama directly on Bayzat reducing the need to visit mutliple platforms, making the renewal process easier and quicker. More so, the updated Iqama details are automatically reflected in Bayzat so your records are kept up to date.

The Iqama renewal process can be carried out on both web and mobile (click here to learn about Iqama renewal on mobile).

Renewing an Iqama on Bayzat's web portal:

If you have an employee whose Iqama is about to expire or has already expired, you can easily renew it on Bayzat by following these steps:

Simply navigate to the Employee's profile > Documents section, and look for the primary Iqama that needs to be renewed. You will see a "Renew" button next to it, which you can click on to start the renewal process.

On clicking the Renew button, the Iqama renewal process begins. The first step entails, ensuring that all the requirements for Iqama renewal have been completed:

  • Traffic violation fines: Confirm that the employee has no pending traffic violation fines. In case the employee has any pending fines, it's important to remind them to clear those fines. To do this, you can send an email reminder to the employee from this section. You can only send one email reminder every 24 hours, and Bayzat will notify you of the time the reminder was sent and whether it was sent successfully.

  • Working permit renewal: Confirm that the employee's work permit has been renewed and is therefore valid. This is an important step to ensure that the employee is authorized to work legally in the country.

Once you have selected the two checkboxes, you can proceed to the next step. In Step 2 of the Iqama renewal process, you will need to select the duration of the renewal period. You can choose the renewal period by clicking on the dropdown menu, which contains the following options: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, and 24 months.

After selecting the renewal period, an estimated cost will be shown. If you have any dependents on Bayzat, you will also see a dependent fee calculated as 400 AED per dependent per month.

In the final stage of the Iqama renewal process, you will need to confirm that you have made the payment for the Iqama renewal using SADAD. Then click on Renew Iqama to renew the Iqama on Bayzat via Muqeem.

If the Iqama renewal process is successful through Muqeem, a success screen will be displayed, and registered employees will receive a push notification. Moreover, a new document will be generated for the employee's Iqama.

If the Iqama renewal process is unsuccessful through Muqeem, you will receive an error message from Muqeem. In such a scenario, you can choose to save the renewal process as a draft and try again later.

In both scenarios of successful or unsuccessful Iqama renewal, a log will be generated for each transaction, which will enable you to track your transactions.

Note: At any stage of the Iqama renewal process, you have the option to save your progress as a draft, allowing you to exit the flow and return to the original entry point. Any edits made by you will be saved, and when you resume the process, it will restart from the last point where you left off.
